Hey guys and gals! Sorry I have been MIA recently. My boyfriend and I were moving in to our new place (which is awesome, we made our own workout room) and for the past week or so we’ve been on a canoe trip with a couple friends. We only just got internet about fifteen minutes ago, so I’m sorry for my absesnce, but I promise I’m back now. :)

I’m going to my family’s cottage/lake this weekend with Tim and some friends of mine. I am so excited! I love campfires and swimming, canoeing, kayaking all that fun stuff! It will be my first time there this year so I’m going to make the best of it.
It also gives me a great opportunity to get in some activity and exercises that I don’t usually do:
- Hiking for one, which I’m a huge fan of, nothing better than going for a trek in the wilderness, so much nicer and better for you than walking on pavement!
- Canoeing and Kayaking of course, get some good upper body work in while exploring the water!
- Swimming, and I plan on doing loads of it, a great form of low-impact cardio!
- And Tim and I are going to bring our baseball gloves so we can get a little practice in. That should be fun!
I have also planned and packed healthy meals for while I’m gone. For breakfast: oatmeal and berries one morning, and eggs and toast the second. For lunches: lettuce, sprouts, green peppers, low-fat cheese, and cucumber sandwiches (meat slices for my friends) and apples and clementines, and for dinners: veggie dogs/burgers and asparagus and corn on the cob. Not too shabby. There will however be some drinks I’m sure, but I doubt I’ll be drinking that much anyways. Everything in moderation. :)
My friends have already told me they’re bringing chips and pop and cake and other un-healthy munchies along with them, but I don’t really crave those kind of things lately anyways, so I think I’ll be fine.
I have loaded up my queue with photos so at least there will be somethin’ happening on my blog while I’m gone. I will be back Sunday night so I’m only away for two nights.
I’m a little concerned about how I’m going to look in my bikini, but to be real, I’ve worked my ass off and I’ve lost 18lbs! I am proud of that so fuck it, I’m gonna look smokin’ in photos this weekend! I’ll get a nice tan going on (that reminds me I gotta pick up some sunscreen!) and work my little booty this weekend too! There ain’t no rest for the healthy! ;)
