“When life is sweet, say thank you & celebrate. And when life is bitter, say thank you & grow.” - Shauna Niequist
I’m having a sweet fruit salad for breakfast with a wedge of melon & lemon/lime for dressing. When I eat like a queen, I feel like a queen! ;)

Good Morning!! Spending my free morning soaking up some vitamin D & drinking oranges & kiwis! I’m feeling so good on this juice feast that I think I’m going to extend it a few days. I just keep feeling more alive & clean! It’s hard to describe, but I can feel the changes happening in my body; my skin, hair, nails, energy, happiness, alertness… It’s like I’m upgrading my body!! LMAO! ;)

In case you haven’t yet, don’t forget to Go Fruit Yourself today! ;) I had some fresh oj & a banana smoothie for breakfast/lunch!
I have been under-eating and having a lot of fatty vegan meals over the past week or so. It’s time for a re-commitment to my health & get into the habit of 3000 raw calories a day. Keeping it high carb & low fat really is the key!
Any of my followers part of the Banana Girl group on Facebook? :) if you’re a fellow fruit-bat, let’s connect!

This past week one of my good friends mentioned to me that she was struggling with her weight and after hearing me talk at length about the magic of raw food, she decided to give it a shot and eat mostly raw for a week. Inspired to up the ante in my own diet, again, I decided to join her. For those of you who know me, you know that I am quite passionate about raw foods. Though, to be honest, the longest I have stuck 100% to a raw diet is only 30 days. Not long at all considering the time it takes for real change to take place in the human body (if it takes seven years to generate new cells throughout your entire body, 30 days isn’t going to have much of an effect - overall). But I keep reminding myself that even little steps in the right direction are better than none at all. ;)
Luckily, the timing of my renewed motivation coincides quite nicely with The Banana Girl Diet Challenge happening on Facebook. There are now over 1,100 members and many fruities who are very experienced on the raw vegan / high-carb raw-vegan / 80/10/10 diet. If you are at all interested in learning more about raw food, you should come check it out and join!
Also, starting this afternoon The Brilliant Body Summit begins! It’s a series of telecasts done by poignant members of the raw vegan movement (starting with author of The 80/10/10 Diet - Dr Doug Graham)! This is a rare chance to hear from the pro’s and ask your own questions, so once again, I highly recommend you take a peek! ;)
I’m off to start the day on the healthy foot and have bananas for breakfast! Happy & Healthy Tuesday Everybody! :)
